Your treatment coordinator is with you from start to finish. She'll explain the procedure and answer every question you have along the way.

At the time of your Initial Consultation, you’ll meet with Dr. Surber and Dr. Drone to discuss your dental goals. They'll understand the smile you’re wanting and will answer any questions or concerns you may have. An exam will be performed and a CBCT will be taken this first day.

At your Preoperative Records Appointment, we’ll take all the necessary scans, photos, and impressions of your mouth using our advanced technology. You’ll receive the instructions for what to do the morning of your procedure and aftercare. You’ll receive your prescriptions, which you’ll want to fill before the day of your procedure.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PATIENTS TRAVELING TO SEE US:
Patients often travel to Aspire Implant Center for their Teeth in One Day procedure. If you are traveling to see us, for your convenience we can combine appointments 2 & 3 (Preoperative Records and Surgery & Delivery of Your New Smile). If you are traveling a great distance, we can even perform your initial consultation over the phone, making it possible to have new teeth on your first physical visit to the office.

The Day of your Procedure, you’ll take a pill an hour before arriving to help relax you. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing. When you get to the office you’ll be escorted to the back, made comfortable, and then sedated. A qualified member of our team will be by your side the entire time. Most patients don’t remember the procedure, they just sleep through it. You can expect to be at our office for the majority of the day. The procedure is only a few hours, but you’ll be sleeping off the anesthesia for a while. When you wake up, you’ll have a beautiful set of temporary teeth. These are your healing set, which you’ll wear while your body and bone heal and integrate with the implants—a crucial step to ensure the best possible result. Temporary teeth are nearly indistinguishable from what your final teeth will look like.

Dr. Surber’s work has been recognized and awarded by the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Timothy W. Surber is a graduate of Valparaiso High School and Wabash College. Dr. Surber earned his dental degree at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2013. Thereafter, he completed his specialty training in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Dr. Surber is Board-certified and maintains active Diplomate status in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also involved in professional organizations such as, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, ADA, and many local study groups. Additionally, Dr. Surber is actively philanthropic. In 2012, he traveled to Lima, Peru as part of a multi-disciplinary surgical mission team. Locally, Dr. Surber donates his time and skills on call at multiple local hospitals for facial trauma and other patients in need of the specialty.

Dr. Surber resides in his hometown of Valparaiso, Indiana. His interests include traveling, boating, sport fishing, and physical fitness.

A Prosthodontist Is A Dental Specialist With Three Years Of Specialized Training In Esthetic/Cosmetic Dentistry, Restorative/Reconstructive Dentistry, Removable Prosthodontics, And Implant Dentistry At A Credited Medical School Or Dental School.

Prosthodontics requires 3–4 additional years of specialized training at an accredited dental school or medical school after graduation from dental school. Michael Drone, DDS has two post-graduate dental specialty degrees, prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics, from Indiana University School of Dentistry and Medicine. As a prosthodontist, Michael Drone, DDS practices a full scope of prosthodontic procedures with expertise ranging from dental implants, cosmetic/aesthetic dentistry and dentures, to restorative dentistry. Since 2007, Michael Drone, DDS has been actively involved in providing his knowledge and expertise to The Northwest Indiana Dental Study Clubs, dentists, dental specialists and physicians.

Our staff is CPR certified, x-ray certified and our dental assistants are also expanded duties certified. Dentistry is ever-changing and our staff attends continuing education courses to learn about the safest and newest dental techniques and technologies used to provide the best dental care for our patients.
